How it works

From spreadsheet to App Store in three steps.

SheetBridge handles the connection. Adalo's AI generates the screens. You publish to the stores.

STEP 01

Connect your sheet

Sign in with Google, paste your Sheet URL, and authorize SheetBridge. Your column structure works as-is.

STEP 02

Ada generates the app

Adalo's AI reads your data structure and generates real screens — list views, detail pages, forms, and navigation.

STEP 03

Publish native

Submit to the App Store and Google Play through Adalo's publishing tools. Most apps approved within 24–48 hours.

Capabilities

Everything your spreadsheet was missing.

Built specifically for the gap between a Google Sheet and a production-grade mobile app.

Bidirectional real-time sync

Edits in the app push to the sheet within seconds. Edits in the sheet flow back on the next sync cycle. Bulk updates pass through together.

True native, not a web wrapper

Real iOS and Android binaries. Push notifications, camera, barcode scanning, and offline cache work natively — not in a browser.

Smart type detection

Dates stay as dates. Numbers stay as numbers. SheetBridge reads your column formatting and maps each one to the right Adalo field type.

Existing structure works

No migration. No CSV exports. Your sheet stays the source of truth — your team keeps working in the spreadsheet they already know.

Hybrid data models

Combine Sheet data with Adalo's built-in database. Store user profiles natively while pulling operational data from your spreadsheet.

Sub-second latency

Incremental syncing only updates changed records. Stays well under Google's 300 requests-per-minute limit even on heavy-traffic apps.

Use cases

Built for businesses already running on a spreadsheet.

If your team manages this in a Google Sheet today, you can ship the mobile app this week.

FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

What is SheetBridge?
SheetBridge is Adalo's official Google Sheets connector. It creates a direct, bidirectional sync between your spreadsheet and a native iOS, Android, or web app built in Adalo — no Zapier, no middleware, no webhook configuration.
Do I need an Adalo account to use SheetBridge?
Yes. SheetBridge is the connector layer; Adalo is where you design and publish the app. You'll need an Adalo account on the Professional, Team, or Business plan. Plans start at $36/month and include Google Sheets integration. Excel and Airtable are available on Business plans.
How is this different from Glide or Softr?
Glide and Softr build web apps or progressive web apps. Adalo with SheetBridge publishes real native apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store — apps that support push notifications, offline mode, camera, and barcode scanning natively, not in a browser shell.
How fast is the sync between my sheet and the app?
Changes propagate in seconds in both directions. When a user updates a record in the app, SheetBridge writes it back to the sheet. When someone edits the sheet directly, the app reflects the change on its next sync cycle. Bulk edits — even pasting 50 new rows — come through together.
Will my existing Google Sheet structure work as-is?
Yes, in most cases. Your sheet needs unique column headers, one data type per column, and no merged cells in the header row. SheetBridge reads the formatting automatically and maps each column to the right field type — dates stay dates, numbers stay numbers. Use the Sheet Readiness Checker above to verify before connecting.
How large can my spreadsheet be?
Performance is best under a few thousand rows. Google Sheets supports up to 10 million cells per spreadsheet, but for very large datasets, archive completed rows to a separate tab. If you outgrow Sheets entirely, Adalo's built-in database has no record cap on paid plans and you can migrate without switching platforms.
Can I use Excel or Airtable instead?
Yes. Excel and Airtable connectors are available on Adalo Business plans. Google Sheets is included on every paid plan from Professional and up.
